I only recently developed a love for fall, but I have always liked pine cones. They are pretty and you can make such awesome crafts from this wonderful thing found easily in nature. If you have are having a fall event, you can use pine cones any and everywhere. And think of how affordable!
I could go on and talk about weddings all day. There are so many things I like but these are the things that I absolutely love!
I love the way that pleats look in the decor for an event. Its just an easy and fun way to get crafty with an escort card or menu. Try other crafty ways to incorporate pleats into your event, such as your dress or your cake. Any way you can use them will be beautiful.
We have established that bouquets, centerpieces and decor doesn’t just have to be flowers anymore, they can be made from anything, but I particularly love the trend of using herbs. They can be beautiful, they smell pretty and they create really interesting texture. And you don’t have to be hosting a hippy or green, earthy wedding to use herbs, they look lovely regardless of the tone of your day.
Mason jars are all the rage right now and rightfully so! They can be used for any and everything. Use them as your glassware, hang them from shepard hooks, use them as centerpieces, candle holders, any kind of decor really. They add a really homey touch to any gathering.
Maybe because it is officially fall or because I’m heading off to MI for the weekend, one way or the other I cannot stop thinking about apples. Every October we went to the apple festival and picked them and ate donuts and apple cider. While I would still love to go to the apple festival, nowadays I’m thinking about apples in terms of decor. The yellows and reds and greens are such perfect fall colors. You can use them as centerpieces, escort cards, table numbers, or candy apples to eat! I’m so excited about the candy apples we will have at a client’s wedding next month. The Michigander in me can’t get enough.
An ombre effect on anything can look so amazing! A dress, a cake, flowers, anywhere you want to use it it can add such a lovely touch.
I used to think I didn’t like lace. I felt like it was a little bit old fashion or like I wasn’t old enough to wear it, kind of like pearls. Beautiful, but not for young people (yes, I like to pretend I’m still young-ish). I’ve learned the error of my ways. Lace can be fresh and young and even edgy! Not to mention lace will always be classic!

When life give you lemons – use them as decor! I love the use of lemons or fruit in general in decor. It is such a fantastic way to bring bright pops of color and something interesting into your space. And they can be used in so many ways, as escort cards, in flower arrangements, in drinks of course, as centerpieces. The options are unlimited if you use your imagination!
You would be amazed what amazing things you can make with paint chips! Some really beautiful DIY projects I’ve seen lately have been made with them. Thank goodness for the internet to show us this creativity which I would never have thought of on my own! But I do intend to use the ideas for certain!
