Last month District Bliss hosted the most fun Vendor Social at AR Workshop Alexandria. This was our second event at AR Workshop. We also hosted a DIY Workshop there in November. AR Workshop is a DIY boutique that provides the tools, materials and classes to help your pintrest dreams come true! At this Vendor Social not only did we get to mix and mingle with fellow creatives while noshing on sweets from My Sweet Array, we got to make wooden bobbles to decorate your tree or home. It was so fun and easy. Check out all the fun we had and hopefully join us at our next Vendor Social, which we will be announcing very soon!
This party is from the summer, but since the blog is new this is my first chance to highlight this super fun, pink daisy birthday party. The party was held in the private room at Food Matters in Alexandria, VA. Much of their food is from local producers and they also provide Food Matters Community Supported Agriculture which offers local herbs, eggs, flowers and produce to the community members. This is a cool place! Tanner’s mom wanted a bright, daisy, fairy feel for her birthday princess. The children left with favor bags of toys and goodies and the adults left with the lovely cookies pots created by Jill Agudelo of Rita’s Kitchen.
District Bliss hosted their latest vendor social at The Outrage last month and once again, it was awesome! District Bliss brings together creative vendors across the DMV to foster community in an intimate, non-intimidating, comfortable setting. The temperature may not have been entirely comfortable, but the positive vibes sure were flowing and I'm positive some awesome collaborations and networking came out of this event. Make sure to check out the fabulous vendors we were lucky enough to have with us and stay tuned for our upcoming events. If you are interested in being a participating vendor at an upcoming event, you can do that too! Send us a note or fill out this form here. We can wait to meet you!
Sheena & Ben are the kind of people who care a great deal about other people. They came together initially because they enjoyed feeding and taking care of other people. So when it came to their Sangeet (and their wedding) it was really a celebration of not only their love for one another, but their love for their friends and family! And did they ever celebrate!
Have you ever been intimidated by the size or nature of a networking event? Ug, networking can be hard work! That is why District Bliss was created, to be that networking space for creatives where you don't need to feel intimidated by a huge events or even a really intimate event. District Bliss events are usually 35-45 people depending on the space. They are held in DC, VA, LA and NY. They focuses on fostering a sense of community and they donate a portion of their ticket sales to The Women's Employment Network . What is better than that? You can network with awesome people, have fun and feel good about it!
If you are interesting in participating in an event as a vendor you can do that too! These events would not happen without the awesome participating vendors who take the pictures, plan the events and bring their beautiful and yummy sweets and treats!
I'll be there! And so will some awesome vendors like Meekly Yours, Adam Smith Music Services and Edward Underwood Photography. Plus The Outrage is going to be having an Outrageous Sale too! Ahhh!!! I might go broke their stuff is SOOOO fun!
Join us and get your low key, no-pressure, super fun networking on!
Shifali & Scott had a traditional Indian Sangeet the night before their wedding in September 2012 near Baltimore. There was tons of food, games were played and dances were performed. It was a lovely night.
