I kind of have strong feelings about wedding favors! It is my opinion that nobody has ever gone to a wedding thinking "ohhhh, I can't wait to see what I get as a favor". But I will tell you what has happened a million times over...people have left favors that they didn't want to take home on their tables. I can not tell you how many favors I have packed up and sent back with couples. And then what did they do with all of those picture frames or candles or Andes Candies? I have no idea!
That is why I feel like you have a few options with favors...
1. Don't Do Them. Gasp! I know, very controversial. I realize, you must thank your guest and let them know you are grateful for them being there, many of them traveling and sharing in your important day. But there are so many ways you can do that and they don't need to involve a trinket.
2. Make it an experience. Photobooths are SO SO SO popular. Almost no events are planned these days from corporate events, to a church BBQ with out a photobooth. But that is because people love them! And they get a take away. That is a perfectly sufficient favor!
3. Make it edible. If your guests can enjoy your favorite cookie right then and there or take it home to their kids later, they like that. It is easy, it can be cute and they almost never ever get wasted!
4. Make it unusual, something people don't usually get as a favor and they will want it!
