Being a performer makes it extra important to capture, mix and amplify the sound in your event. This makes the selection for a live sound system to be so intricate. It needs to match your budget, genre of music and lastly, the venue where you will be playing. It is not just like you buy TikTok fans for your niche and enjoy all the views.

Regardless if you are a singer-songwriter who is performing with a band in club or local bar, in a café or perhaps a DJ who plays in wedding, it will be imperative to have a reliable PA system. When performing, you definitely want something that delivers clear definition and clarity. The thing is, with tons of choices available, it can be hard and overwhelming to make a decision.

What Exactly is a PA System?

Simply speaking, PA stands for Public Address. This is otherwise known as sound reinforcement system. In essence, this is an electronic amplification system that is used in getting sound from the performer’s, to the audience.

There are various components that make up one and while a single system will significantly vary from the other, each has nearly the same basic functions which are:

  • Convert acoustic sounds into electronic signals via line inputs or mic
  • Process and mix electronic signals by using effects modules and mixing boards
  • Amplify signals with power amp
  • Deliver sounds through the speakers
  • Monitor performance with in-ear monitors or speakers

Remember this, PA equipment has different features, designs and capabilities that are associated with each function. Therefore, your specific requirements are going to determine what you really need from them.

Difference of Old PAs to New Ones

Conventional PAs are made of separate equipment for every individual function needed such as standalone mixing board, dedicated power amp, outboard signal processor and several monitor speakers and individual PA cabinets. This makes traditional PAs to consume too much space and a bit of a hassle to store, transport and even set up onstage.

Planning The Largest Events for Dogs in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, a number of major events for dogs take place every year. Some are outside, but there are also indoor events. Going to an event is a good way to socialize your puppy and in many cases, it is good for the bond between the owner and the dog. Note that such a day can be very tiring for a dog, pay close attention to your dog, and then give him/her the rest he/she needs.

General Information

Events for dogs can be a lot of fun for dogs and owners and good for the band. However, not all dogs like the crowds, and not all dogs are equally social. Think carefully about whether your dog will be able to walk among all kinds of other dogs and sometimes other animals. When in doubt, always keep your dog on a lead. Bring enough water and bags to clear his needs. At some events, you will be asked for a vaccination booklet. In any case, do not go to an event until your dog has had his vaccinations. If your dog is wearing a muzzle and retractable dog leashes, don’t forget to put it on. Dogs that show aggressive behavior can be refused or removed. On such a day, provide enough water and moments of rest for your dog.

Heredmederhonddag

Erkermederhondendag is organized at the Erkermederstrand in Zeewolde. This day is always held on the last Saturday of September. It is a grand and busy event, but thanks to the surface of the site, there is always a quiet spot. Some visitors come without a dog, but there are also people with multiple dogs. Admission for the dog day is free, but you can also stay overnight or barbecue for a fee.

Animal Event

An animal Event is an annual event that is organized in early May. The Animal Event is not only for dogs but actually for all (mainly) pets. There are also raptor shows, workshops with rodents, and demonstrations with horses. You can also encounter the other animals on the property. The terrain is quite large with several slopes where demonstrations can be seen. Some demonstrations include:

  • flyball
  • dog dance
  • agility
  • brain work
  • rescue dogs

You can also try out a number of disciplines with your dog yourself. The dogs must be kept on a lead and in some areas your dog is not allowed. If your dog shows aggression, the entrance may be refused. In 2019 Animal Event was visited by more than 30,000 people and more than 200 stands were present. Some parts of the event are covered, so even with some rain, the Animal Event is worth visiting.
