I find myself very drawn to mint lately and I don’t even love mint (except Junior Mints, those I do love!). But regardless, it is just so fresh and clean and airy, you just can’t help but be drawn to it this time of year.

In 2011 I wrote a post about lace and somehow misplaced the link to a picture posted there. That post has generated more emails about this one picture on an invitation, THE invitation, than any other post I’ve written. So much so that now that I have found the link, I have decided to dedicate an entire post to THE invitation. I get tons of emails asking me about where to find it, what does it cost, who makes it, do I make it, can they order it, etc., etc. So now you have it, here it is, everything you need to know about THE invitation!

B Studio Wedding Invitations
The invitation is made by B Studio Wedding Invitations. And they make many more beautiful invitations as well! I’m in love with their rustic country invitations and their black and white invitations! The invitations are $11.50 and all the information on purchasing them and all of the extras are here. Go forth and purchase!

I am crazy for pomegranates! I know, it is the trendy fruit (how is fruit trendy, that is so weird). Anyway, I love the color, I love the seeds, I love the taste, I love the looks of them! I want pomegranate everything. Including your event inspiration. They are so pretty and so yummy and it is pomegranate season so why not? Use them as your color choice, your decor, your theme, your signature cocktail, go while. You can never have too much pomegranate as far as I’m concerned!

I am seeing acorns pop up everywhere this fall and I think it is adorable. Who knew acorns were so stinking cute? Well apparently you all did and you are using them everywhere to your advantage and I’m loving it. They lend such an earthy, fall, vibe to the event. I love this trend.

Black wedding decor isn’t just for Halloween, but since it is October, it is appropriate and would be absolutely beautiful considering the season. Not to mention you can do black in October without invoking the Halloween spirit by all means. Black is classic and chic and never goes out of style.

I love the thought of a scrabble themed wedding. You can create anything with the letters. Use it in small details such as cuff links, table numbers and on invitations to make your event really fun.

Between rustic weddings and DIY being so in these days, burlap has made a huge comeback! It can be used anywhere, for anything and makes for such a fantastic, natural background for whatever you are doing. If you are planning a rustic, chic event, incorporating some burlap can give any venue a rustic feel.
