I am super excited to welcome Events to a T’s newest intern Lindsey Brooks. Another American University grad (that school has send us some great interns). Lindsey is going to to blogging and working on our social media and communications. Yay! She has already started working and is getting my social media presence into shape (thank goodness). I am thrilled to have Lindsey on board, please start liking and pinning and retweeting all of her work!
Hi! My name is Lindsey and I am an aspiring event planner originally from outside of Chicago, IL. I attended American University and graduated in 2014 with a degree in legal studies. After graduation, I took a year off to prepare for law school, but during that time my desire to become a lawyer eventually became nonexistent. I had no clue what to do besides to continue on with preparing for law school and trying to make the best of it. However, during my free time I found joy in planning family events. Whether it was a baby shower or a holiday party, I was always the go to planner. After hearing people tell me how great the events were and realizing how happy I was planning them, I decided to set my LSAT books aside and focus on becoming a full time event planner. In my quest to achieve my dream career, I am honored to be blogging for Events to a T and I look forward to sharing my posts about event planning with you.

Julie and Gaby were married on a beautiful September evening in the most lovely, relaxed, ceremony at the gorgeous Elk Run Vineyards, where they threw a super fun pig roast, had a rockin’ band and just really had a meaningful, thoughtful event for their freinds and family. I loved worked with them. All the happiness Julie & Gaby!

Elizabeth & Joe were married at the chic Hotel Monaco in downtown DC in October. The hotel’s art deco design fit in the the couple’s asthetic for what they were picturing for their big day. Elizabeth knew she wanted deep jewel tones, a little bit art deco, a little bit rustic and little DC. And she pulled off that mixture beautifully. Add my favorite florist and photographer and you get this amazing wedding!
Doesn’t she look so happy! Love it!

Elizabeth and Joe were a super fun couple to work with! Elizabeth knew exactly what she wanted (which makes my job so much easier and working with her so much more fun) and she was just lovely and not stressed! Another awesome perk of working with this couple was that I loved their taste (that isn’t always the case – shhhh). But I’m getting ahead of myself…this is just their adorable engagement shoot by one of my very favorite photographers, Pier 23 Photography. Enjoy and stay tuned for their wedding coming soon.
Jess and Jim were married on the most perfect summer day at the most perfectly lovely venue. The weather was amazing, the bride and groom looked wonderful, the flowers were bright and the food was awesome family style comfort food.
Jason and Joel were married this summer at Eastern Market, which I absolutely loved, not only because I live in the neighborhood but because it is an awesome venue. It has a neighborhoody, cool, very DC vibe, which I cannot get enough of. These guys just wanted to have a great party for their friends and family and did they ever! Congratulations Jason and Joel!
