Today is my 3rd wedding anniversary. And I’m going to say something possibly scandalous for a wedding planner….As I sit here thinking about my anniversary it isn’t my very lovely wedding that I am reminiscing about. That was indeed lovely and I am so so so happy that this man asked me to marry him and is my husband. But on our anniversary it isn’t at all what is on my mind. Instead I’m thinking about when he proposed and he thought to make sure all of my girlfriends could come out and celebrate with me that night. And how he bought me new boots to throw me off, even though I hadn’t at all caught on. I’m thinking about our first anniversary when we found out we were pregnant with our daughter and the birth of our daughter and the last 16 months being parents together. I’m thinking about how the gifts he gives me are always so very touchingly thoughtful (and how I can never compete!)
. I’m thinking about how much fun I have with him, how he still makes me laugh every single day, how he still smiles every time he sees me, how I miss holding his hand (because our hands are holding a baby or pushing a stroller), and how very happy he makes me and how lucky I am that he is my husband!
Having a wedding with him was fun. Having a life him is awesome. Happy Anniversary love. xo

I fell in love with Brittany and Jon immediately upon meeting them! They are my kind of people! They are googly eyed for each other, politicos, book worms and just plain awesome. And their wedding reflected all of that! They were married at the Arts Club of Washington with a book themed wedding with lovely little details everywhere. May your marriage be as joyous as the two of you!

In 2011 I did a wedding at Adelphi Mill with the most lovely couple ever and don’t you know at exactly the same time of year I end up at Adelphi Mill again in 2012 with once again the mostly lovely couple ever who just wanted their friends to have fun, for one another to be happy and to enjoy their day. I love that. This was also by far one of the most DIY wedding I had ever done (check our her bouquet, yep, she did that!) and they did it beautifully and together. I asked them if they felt like it had been worth it in the end and they said a resounding yes and that they felt like it had brought them closer. When they started they didn’t know how to make paper flowers or anything about crafts really but they figured it out together and made a beautiful wedding full of personal touches.

Please welcome Events to a T’s newest member Emily to the team. Emily will be helping out for the upcoming season and we are thrilled to have her on board. Emily has been interested in event planning since college where she worked as the intramural tournament coordinator. Emily has since worked part time for local planning companies and hopes to one day open her own wedding planning business.
Let me just hit the highlights of this awesome wedding. He was the park ranger at Prince William Forest Park, she was going for a hike, the rest is history, fast forward and they get married at the same spot and it included their dog as best man, bridesmaids in cowboy boots, a wedding pinata, a bonfire and square dancing. Enough said, like I said, this wedding rocked!

I cannot wait to share AC and Chris’ wedding! It is one of my very favorites! Do I say that about all of them? Well this one really really is! So their engagement session at Glen Echo park should be a little sneak peek into how adorable this couple is and how awesome their wedding was. Just wait! These two rock!

Caroline & Josh are this lovely, quiet, unassuming couple who just want to make sure that all of their guests are taken care of, that their families have a good time and that the vendors are comfortable. They cried getting married, teared up during toasts from their best friends and boy do they love their dog!
We were all lucky to get to work with this wonderful couple at this absolutely beautiful venue. Congratulations Caroline & Josh.
