Bring May Flowers
Tarrarium Chic
Terrariums are making a comeback in a big way and I think they can look so chic as wedding or event decor. You can make them in anything, You can make them, so DIY fun, so eco friendly and so chic!
Try Troughs!
As I’ve mentioned before, I love long, family style tables. And I really love the idea of long trough like vessels as centerpieces on long tables. They can provide such a different look than your usual vases. They look great in wood, glass, metal, stone, whatever.
Make the Most of Moss
I am loving the use of moss in flower decor right now. My favorite use is on long tables, used kind of as a runner (LOVE), but it is very cool and pretty yet modern looking used in most any way.
Such an adorable, easy DIY project!
Herbs as Decor
We have established that bouquets, centerpieces and decor doesn’t just have to be flowers anymore, they can be made from anything, but I particularly love the trend of using herbs. They can be beautiful, they smell pretty and they create really interesting texture. And you don’t have to be hosting a hippy or green, earthy wedding to use herbs, they look lovely regardless of the tone of your day.
Easter Decor Galore
I love Easter, it is all candy and pastel colors and springy flowers, how could you not love that? I’m super excited to take my new baby girl home for the first time to be with our families for Easter so I’ve got the holiday on the brain and how we can make it beautiful!
Bonkers for Burlap
Between rustic weddings and DIY being so in these days, burlap has made a huge comeback! It can be used anywhere, for anything and makes for such a fantastic, natural background for whatever you are doing. If you are planning a rustic, chic event, incorporating some burlap can give any venue a rustic feel.
Mason Jars
Mason jars are all the rage right now and rightfully so! They can be used for any and everything. Use them as your glassware, hang them from shepard hooks, use them as centerpieces, candle holders, any kind of decor really. They add a really homey touch to any gathering.
Cupcake Liner DIY Projects
Not only are cupcakes still all the rage, now cupcake liners are on trend as well. I personally just finished an adorable (if I do say so myself) cupcake liner garland for a wedding this weekend. But there is so much more being done with cute liners these days. Get out our glue gun, these are so fun!
Apple a Day
Maybe because it is officially fall or because I’m heading off to MI for the weekend, one way or the other I cannot stop thinking about apples. Every October we went to the apple festival and picked them and ate donuts and apple cider. While I would still love to go to the apple festival, nowadays I’m thinking about apples in terms of decor. The yellows and reds and greens are such perfect fall colors. You can use them as centerpieces, escort cards, table numbers, or candy apples to eat! I’m so excited about the candy apples we will have at a client’s wedding next month. The Michigander in me can’t get enough.
