As you may have noticed, I’m a bit obsessed when it comes to cars – especially when they’re as beautifully crafted as the Pagani Huayra, one of my all-time favorite driving machines. So for this week’s post, I decided to have some fun and see if I could do a Pagani Huayra-inspired wedding – here goes:
A driver’s-eye view of the Huayra’s modern Victorian interior (this is also the photo that inspired this post!) | CNET
And here’s another look at the exquisite interior that blends old Victorian elegance with modern technology – I especially love the contrast between all the different textures: the luxurious leather, the metallic instruments and the carbon fiber | CNET
The Cooper Estate – with its dark wood, chandeliers, and studded leather chairs – brings to mind old world elegance| Jason Webster Photography
This playfully modern bouquet echoes the purple and teal colors found in the Huayra’s light-up display | Wedding Bee
The gray tones in this modern cake reference the carbon fiber used in the Huayra’s interior
A modern reinterpretation of the vintage lace dress | Zuhair Murad
What bride (ok woman!) doesn’t love her shoes? Shoes can make or break your outfit. When it comes to a wedding gown, well they have to be not only perfect but absolutely divine and it doesn’t hurt if they can compliment your flowers as well. To capture what it would be like to be a bride with amazing shoes and gorgeous flowers to compliment them perfectly we teamed up with Sassanova, Petals Edge Floral Design, and Danielle Cover Photography in Old Town, Alexandira to create the ultimate Tuesday Shoesday. This spread is currently featured in Virginia Bride Magazine.

I don’t know a bride who doesn’t love peonies!

The feathers in this bouquet make it so special.
Both the shoes and bouquets here are a reminder that you don’t have to white shoes or roses. Think outside the box when it comes to both and you can get amazing results!
I only recently developed a love for fall, but I have always liked pine cones. They are pretty and you can make such awesome crafts from this wonderful thing found easily in nature. If you have are having a fall event, you can use pine cones any and everywhere. And think of how affordable!

I love the idea of using everything but flowers for your bouquet. Its so cool and trendy. You can use things such as buttons, paper, brooches, butterflies and even food. Anything you can imagine can be your bouquet.

The beautiful flowers of spring make the April showers all the more worth it. I love the pale colors, fresh and frilly looks and how feminine they all are!
We have established that bouquets, centerpieces and decor doesn’t just have to be flowers anymore, they can be made from anything, but I particularly love the trend of using herbs. They can be beautiful, they smell pretty and they create really interesting texture. And you don’t have to be hosting a hippy or green, earthy wedding to use herbs, they look lovely regardless of the tone of your day.

Between rustic weddings and DIY being so in these days, burlap has made a huge comeback! It can be used anywhere, for anything and makes for such a fantastic, natural background for whatever you are doing. If you are planning a rustic, chic event, incorporating some burlap can give any venue a rustic feel.
