I am mourning the end of summer and therefore wishing for one last trip to the beach. The boardwalk makes me think about french fries, rides, cotton candy, bicycles, the beach and the smell of salt in the air. What could be better?!

Carnival Themed Weddings
There is nothing so fun, colorful and carefree as a carnival themed wedding. Who doesn’t have fun at the carnival? One needn’t even be at an actual carnival to pull off this whimsical theme for your big day.
Real Day After/Trash the Dress Session: Vicki & Mike
I am in love with this “day after”/trash the dress session from Studio Juno. You may remember Vicki and Mike from their adorable zoo engagement session or their recent wedding at Carnegie this summer. This beautiful session took place in Georgetown and I love the feel of the entire thing!
Real Weddings: Dottie & Ken
I am so excited to share this wedding! This is my friend Dottie and her lovely husband Ken who are from Philly and married in a botanical garden in St. Louis in May. Dottie is a museum exhibit designer for a garden and therefore extremely creative with a great eye! I knew her wedding would be nothing short of amazing, it helps that she and Ken are so cute too!
I just can get enough of these beautiful images from her photographer Clary Pfeiffer Photography. I love the use of succulents and the rustic reception venue, plus the muted colors! Congrats Dottie & Ken! XOXO

Oh How I Love Ombre!
Edgy Lace
I used to think I didn’t like lace. I felt like it was a little bit old fashion or like I wasn’t old enough to wear it, kind of like pearls. Beautiful, but not for young people (yes, I like to pretend I’m still young-ish). I’ve learned the error of my ways. Lace can be fresh and young and even edgy! Not to mention lace will always be classic!
Cake Stands
I love a cute cake stand. I could go broke and fill our cabinets with cake stands. I don’t even bake that may cakes, I’m more of a cupcake girl. But I cannot resist them. Plus my heart dies a little bit every time I see a beautiful cake on one of those aluminum stands. Splurge, they make such a big impact!
Can’t Get Enough Chevron
I already love stripes, but make them a little bit special and turn them into chevron and I’m head over heels! It looks amazing everywhere, on everything and is fun yet still chic. You can’t go wrong!
