Real Weddings – Meredith & Jake, Wish Upon a Wedding

I have the honor of being on the Board of Directors of an amazing organization called Wish Upon a Wedding. Everyone in the wedding industry should not only be aware of this organization, but involved – but that is a post all unto itself. In early January, Wish Upon a Wedding, DC granted their second wish to a young military couple. Meredith is a former Marine Corps Officer and Jake is preparing for a seven month deployment to Afghanistan. Meredith and Jake met at church and are a very religious couple who only asked that their religion be honored when granting their wedding wish. Through many struggles and with little resources, the couple had faith that God would make a way for them to be married before Jake’s deployment to Afghanistan. Enter Wish Upon a Wedding, DC and our many wish granters, including two of my very favorite vendors Danielle Cover Photography and Lily Pad Weddings – both 2011 Wedding Wire Brides Choice Award Winners!
